And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone. I will make him a helper fit for him (Genesis 2:18 ESV)
What an irony! 7 times in the first chapter of Genesis did we read that God looked upon His creation and saw that it was good. There was only one incidence in Genesis 2 where God said it wasn’t good – that a man live life alone. Even today, God knows it isn’t good for man to live life by himself. We need people around us to help us – whether it be our spouse, a family member or a support group like the church.
Take the time to thank God for the people in your life.
