“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.” (3 John verse 4)
One of the things that gives me joy whenever I come to church is seeing all the children come in front and being prayed for before they go to the Children’s ministry.
As a parent, what brings joy to you? Seeing your child take their first steps? Their first day in school? Seeing your children grow up to be successful? For the apostle John, what gives him joy is hearing that his spiritual children, those whom he discipled in Christ, are walking in the truth of Christ and His Word.
May our aim as parents be to help our children walk in the truth. This will truly bring us great joy.
